What is key2paris?

Key2paris is located in Quartier Montorgueil near Les Halles market, which is the oldest and main food market of Paris since the XIIth century.

Rue d’Argout was previously called  “rue des Augustins” (Monastery in the neighborhood since Louis IX, Saint Louis). It is  mentioned in some writing in 1450. Its name comes from Antoine Maurice Apollinaire d’Argout (1782-1858), who was Secretary of Marine under King Louis Philippe and Governor of Banque de France under Napoeon III.

key2paris building is an XVIIth to  XIXth century building, with a remarkable stairwell. The building is continuously renovated and maintained to keep it's history while meeting up -to-date standards.

key2paris is at the rear of this building with a view on the charming planted cobblestone courtyard. This location in the building assures you of quiet nights. Moreover, the whole neighborhood is semi-pedestrian!

And during the day, you may enjoy a bustling "quartier" as soon as you push the elegant wooden gate.

The flat is on a secured ground floor (1st floor US). You have 2 codes to enter the courtyard and windows are protected.  It is easy for your luggage, your shopping and resting after a long day.

key2paris is accessible for guests with reduced mobility.

key2 paris is decorated with taste with all the convenience of a modern flat at the same time.

key2paris is perfect for 2 guests (1 or 2 beds), and can accommodate 3 for short period

The minimum stay is 3 nights (5 over the Holiday period).

You are welcome personally, I take time to explain the apartment, the building, the "quartier", and Paris. And of course I take time to answer all your questions! I am at your disposal along your stay, without being obtrusive. It is up to the guest to dictate the degree of engagement

Homey with good electric heating, books to read, kettle and herbal tea bags at your disposal.

Basic detergents are provided. I only use organic ones. If you need some more just ask for it. Except for washing machine detergents: your responsibility. Buy only liquid one, without softener.

• No chemicals :

Steam, white vinegar, baking soda, black soap, organic detergents, microfibers cleaning cloth and sponges,  and some elbow grease!   key2paris is “organic oriented” for food and housekeeping.

• Waste :

We respect and encourage recycling. The building has different  color lids for  glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, cans

• Heating :

In season, individual adjustable electric heater in each room.

• Fan  for summer hotter days

• Main appliances :

Hair dryer, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, washing machine and dryer

• Main bed:

 - Kingsize bed ( 180cm)

- Bedspring with  slats

- Firm  latex mattress. If you like it  softer,

- Duvet and all pillow cases  are non- feather or Down. Hypoallergenic filling.

• Bedroom is equipped with 2 closets ( Shelves and hanging)
• Bedroom has a dimmer  when you come back in the dark.
• If you need a second bed, the living room is equipped with a lovely and very comfortable sofa-folding bed. A real bed !
• If you come with a  baby or toddler, I have  a nice folding cot at your disposal.
• There is a blackout curtain to unfold between living and bedroom if you need

         Bedroom is for sleeping, food and drinks are for Living area

 It’s a full bathroom, composed of:

• A tub, non-slip mat is available
• A shower above the bathtub
• A sink
• Enough room to display your toiletries
• A drying rack
• A washing machine and its separated dryer
• Space for storing your pieces of luggage
• Toilets are separated  by a door from the bathroom
• A modern technology hot water balloon
• Small appliances as a hairdryer, vacuum and an iron
• Organic quality liquid shampoo and body soap at your disposal

Fully equipped like a big one, to cook some of your own meals :

• dishwasher,
• real vitroceram stove 4 burners including a high speed halogene one
• self-cleaning oven,
• microwave,
• Several cupboards including a large one for dishes and small appliances (boiler kettle,  coffee machine, French Press, Nespresso machine, toaster, blender, juicer, ...),
• drawers with cutlery, pots and pans,  and more
• a full  kitchen  to set some meals  (besides the BnB ones, restaurants, and caterers). I will help you selecting  the shops to prepare your meal with the great ingredients you will find on rue Montorgueil.

·      Upon departure all kitchen utensils, cutlery, plates, dishes and appliances have to be back where they belong clean,  dry  and empty. See extra fee in How Much

For meals you have a nice gateleg table in the living room. It is requested to keep food and drinks in the living room.

Sofa  (can convert into a comfortable bed), seats…  Kitchen corner.
