I love Paris and good food

There are so many opportunities wherever you are to discover more about Paris and good food.

Recently I met here in Maubourguet, a retired chef, who is in charge with a quality food event on July 17th (Milk-fed veal calves).

While browsing through this event website, I found an article on a \"bar\" close to rue D\'Argout.

JL Petitrenaud, the author, is a well known French food critic so I would give it a try...

In April I had to go back to Paris for a couple of days, to attend the building annual Assembly. After the assembly, I discovered with my \"colleagues\" a nice restaurant located between the old stock exchange building and the place des Victoires.

Truffles and saffron

At the beginning of this year, I told you about my encounter with the owner of \"Magasin à croquer\" in the passage du Grand Cerf.

I was looking for quality and she told me about a place in the Gers.

Too close from Maubourguet to miss it ; not even 45mn-drive !

On a nice April afternoon with a friend of mine, we rode the nice hilly Gers roads and discovered La Rabasse D\'Astarac near Mirande.

A nice young couple is running a farm where they grow real saffron and truffles (called Rabasses).

We were taught ll the secrets about real saffron and how to recognize a nice truffle.

We came back home with saffron, honey, vinegar, syrup for the Tables d\'hôtes.

I will share with you all this \"gourmet\" information and some nice recipes, if you like it.

if you like nice objects with a story, while strolling the streets in the 9th or the 18th, after visiting Denise Acabo, or Montmartre, after having lunch at Rose Bakery rue des Martyrs, push the door of \"l\'objet qui parle\" rue des Martyrs.
